ch.277 freshly picked clams & plastic picking @ dBay
Jon, Jenn, Candy, Yolanda, Michael and I went to DBay to clean up the beach yesterdays. 5 of us, went there with a good heart to help out. The spilled plastic pellets were not as much as we imagined but many actually sunk into the sand and floated close to the shore line. So each of us basically face to the stone wall and sat on the sand for hours to pick out the plastic pellets. At some point, there were so many plastic garbages and so we helped clean that up as well. U cannot imagine how much garbage were there.. and so little that we could do even we spent hours there to clean.
Shd really help out again & strongly recommend ppl to go and clean and help keep the green!
While some of us were picking up the trash, some ppl went to pick up the clams off the shores. It's the calm season, my frd!! they picked a bucket off and we went to Jon's home to cook them with sake and ginger. AMAZING! My first time eating fresh-off-sea clams and they were so deliciously cooked. Koodo to Jon! Love it.
Jon's apartment was basically a boy's dorm and totally reminded me of some old days.. haha.. it was fun knowing these younger generation and i guess i hope my experience (+ years of experience or making wrongs, can help them a bit in their lives).
Didn't sleep too well last night and apparently some of them had the same situation, no clue why. I believe we had ENOUGH work out by the end of day.
anyway, it was a blessed day to get to know my new friends and may God bless each of us with what He has planned for us.
